UW-Madison LGBTQ resources
MadRainbow Chinese LGBTQ Network
MadRainbow is a social group for Chinese-speaking LGBTQ people in the Madison area. We aim to create a culturally aware, safe, and inclusive space for low-key gatherings. All students and non-students are welcome to join. Our slogan is “queer needs no extra cool,” meaning…we are pretty chill.
Gender and Sexuality Campus Center
Looking to meet other LGBTQ students on campus? The Gender and Sexuality Campus Center (GSCC) invites you to join them in any of their activities, programming, and leadership development. GSCC also has many LGBT books and videos you can check out from their office.
Talking Helps: Mental Health Services
In addition to providing high quality health care, counseling, and prevention services, the goal of University Health Services is to act in ways that are culturally competent and appropriate to the diverse communities at UW-Madison. Mental Health Services provides confidential, no-cost care to students.
University Health Services: Sexual Health Clinic
The Sexual Health Clinic provides individualized risk-based screening as well as targeted, problem-focused care. Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) testing and HIV testing are confidential and do not require parental consent if you are under the age of 18. The cost of any medication prescribed is not included, but they can help find resources for coverage.

LGBT OutReach
Madison’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Community Center. Promote equality and quality of life for LGBT people. Information on their website about events, ways to get involved, as well as peer counselors and support groups to help with the coming out process.
Fair Wisconsin
Fair Wisconsin is a statewide organization dedicated to advancing and protecting the civil rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people.
