International Student Services (ISS) serves UW–Madison students on F and J visas by providing holistic support through advising on immigration, personal, and cultural matters, and by organizing events and activities to support students’ engagement and development within the campus community.

Please explore our website for answers to many international student questions. On, Wisconsin!

The Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) is experiencing issues with sending information to the Consular Consolidated Database (CCD), a system used by the U.S. Department of State to issue nonimmigrant visas. As a result of these issues, consular officers may report that a nonimmigrant’s information does not appear in their system. The Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) is working with the Department of State to resolve these issues.

Please notify your advisor via Terra Dotta if you are experiencing interruptions.
