Hello! I am Paul, a third-year PhD student in the Geography department at UW-Madison. Born and raised in Kerala, a south-west coastal state in India known for its longue durée of migration, my dissertation project examines questions related to transnational student mobilities and internationalization of higher education. I have traversed an unwonted academic path from Mechanical Engineering to Political Science to Economics before finding my academic home in Geography. Outside of my academic and TA responsibilities, I enjoy swimming, volleyball, cooking, and cinema. I am also a big proponent of co-operative living, and currently a resident at Rochdale International Co-operative. As a member of ISSAB during these tumultuous times, I want to help create a welcoming and accessible space for international students to pursue their academic goals and thrive as holistic individuals.
