In my second year of the Global Higher Education MS program at the School of Education, I deeply appreciate the abundant opportunities for growth and learning that surround me. Fluent in four languages, including my native Kazakh, as well as Russian, English, and Turkish, I am fascinated by the profound ability of language to foster connections among diverse cultures. On campus, I am an active member of the Wisconsin Student Parent Organization (WISPO), where I am grateful to be part of a supportive community that understands the delicate balance of being both a student and a parent. Additionally, my involvement with the Wisconsin Association of Kazakh Students is a source of immense pride and holds a special place in my heart. As a mother of three children, my journey has ignited a deep desire to advocate for the voices of graduate international mother students at ISAB. I am genuinely concerned about the unique challenges they face, including exorbitant daycare fees, financial constraints imposed by stringent F1 student visa regulations, and the need for increased awareness and support from faculty and staff. With sincerity and unwavering dedication, my goal is to contribute to positive change and create a more inclusive and supportive academic environment for all graduate international mother students at UW-Madison.
