Hi everyone, I’m Allan Biju Gregory, currently a freshman going into my sophomore year. I am pursuing a double major in Computer Science and Economics here at UW. Before coming here, I completed schooling in Abu Dhabi, UAE and lived there for 8 years. I can fluently speak English and Malayalam, and next semester, I’m hoping to add Spanish to the list – hopefully with a bit of luck, I’ll be able to hold a conversation without needing Google Translate. I am a huge soccer fan and love watching tennis as well. Recently, I gave pickleball a shot and quickly fell in love with it — it’s now one of my favorite ways to stay active. During my freshman year, I got involved with InventUW and the Economics Student Association (ESA), which gave me the chance to meet new people and engage more deeply with the two subjects I’m passionate about. As a member of the International Student Advisory Board (ISSAB), I’m looking forward to the opportunity to amplify the voices of international students, ensuring that these diverse perspectives are recognized and addressed. Through ISSAB, I hope to listen to student voices, advocate and build a campus that truly reflects the diversity and potential of its global student body – where our differences become our greatest strength. Together, we can create a community where every journey is celebrated, and every dream finds a home.
