“As an ISSAB member, I learned a lot about ISS budgeting, campus communicators thought processes, international students’ specific resources and much more about what happens backstage. More importantly, I was able to advocate for our needs and provide advice/guidance to those who had power to implement necessary changes. Additionally, I was able to find community and connect with other international peers who also cared about giving back to our community. Overall, I think it’s been an amazing experience that has taught me a lot, not only about how higher education institutions work but also about the many forms in which you can be an activist.”

Rayane Prado Nunes, ISSAB Member '22-'24
