Jan is a first-generation international student from Puntarenas, Costa Rica, who holds a master’s degree in Spanish Literature and is continuing into a PhD in Spanish Literature with a focus on Latin America. She speaks Spanish, English, and some Italian, and is currently learning Portuguese. In her free time, Jan enjoys reading, biking, traveling, and building Lego sets.
