Yirui Fu

Yirui is originally from Dalian, China, and earned her master’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction from UW-Madison as an international student. Having navigated F-1, J-1, and H-1B status herself, she is grateful for the support she received from ISS and is excited to help other international students navigate their journeys in the United States.

Before joining ISS, Yirui worked as a high school Mandarin Chinese teacher in the Madison area. She began at ISS as a SEVIS Specialist and now serves as an International Student Advisor. She has traveled to more than 10 countries across Asia, Europe, and the Americas. In her free time, she enjoys watching movies, visiting theaters, exploring new restaurants, and spending time with her family, including her two cats.
