Ik Kittisenee (he/him/his)
Position title: ISS Peer Advisor
Ik is currently a PhD student in Southeast Asian history at UW-Madison. He grew up in a Sino-Thai family living in a border area where he experienced the multi-cultural atmosphere shared by the communities of ethnic Thai, Lao, Chinese and Vietnamese. He later spent years working in Cambodia and returned to Chiang Mai, Thailand for teaching the University of Minnesota’s study abroad program in which he supervised many Hmong American undergraduate students. As an ISS peer advisor, Ik hopes to help facilitate and celebrate diversity in our UW-Madison community.
