McBurney Disability Services:

The McBurney Disability Resource Center serves UW-Madison students with physical, learning, sensory or psychological disabilities substantially affecting a major life activity (e.g., walking, communicating, learning, seeing, or breathing). Many clients have hidden disabilities such as diabetes, arthritis, HIV/AIDS, depression, learning disorders, or other health impairments. Do I need accommodations? Check out the answers to many of your questions from the staff at McBurney: http://www.mcburney.wisc.edu/information/faq.php
NOTE about VISAs: The ISS office and the McBurney Disability Services Office have something in common – we both work with student VISAs. It is important for international students to know the difference. ISS will refer to an international student visa as the document the US Government issued you to be able to study in the USA, either the F-1 or J-1 student visa stamp in your passport. McBurney issues students on the UW-Campus a VISA as well, which stands for “Verified Individualized Services and Accommodations (VISA)”. After an intake appointment with them, you will be
able to review your VISA with McBurney to see the suggested accommodations plan.
