Open Forum to Discuss Current Events

June 2, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

On Monday, May 25, 2020, George Floyd was murdered in public by a police officer in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This is the latest in a series of murders of black men by police officers here in the United States.

In response, protests and demonstrations have been happening throughout the United States, including here in Madison, WI.

In this open forum, we plan to briefly introduce the history and facts around the oppression of black people in the U.S. and discuss how the protests and riots are affecting your experience and your understanding of U.S. culture.

This forum will be held via WebEx.
