UW–Madison welcomes over 1,800 new international students to campus each year and becomes a temporary home to over 6,000 international students from over 100 countries around the world. As a major research university known nationally and internationally for academic excellence, UWMadison prides itself on offering you the “Wisconsin Experience” – an opportunity to grow and learn through academics, life in Wisconsin, and your overall experience as a student in the USA. We challenge you to become a leader in local, national, and international efforts that will have a positive impact on our world.

International Student Services can help you meet your academic and personal goals for studying in the US. You can contact ISS in person, by phone or email. Consult the website for visa and immigration updates, programs, and events. You will also receive our newsletter, Access ISS, with announcements, events, and career and community news. It is our pleasure to serve our international students, who are a wonderful and diverse part of the UW-Madison campus community.
