
Dear Students: It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of a UW-Madison undergraduate international student, Hao Yu. Hao passed away on July 5, at his friend's apartment in Eagle Heights and his death has been attributed to natural causes. Hao came to UW-Madison this fall 2007 from Nanjing, China. He will be missed by many at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Our thoughts go out to his parents and other family members during this time of grief and mourning. “We’re saddened by this loss of a member of our community and will do anything we can to support others who may be impacted,” says Dean of Students Lori Berquam. ISS holds walk-in advising from 11am to 3pm, Monday through Friday. If any students decide to travel to home due this event, we remind you to obtain a travel endorsement needed for re-entry to the US.
