English Classes

Volunteers with teaching experience in the field of ESL lead small classes during the Fall and Spring semesters for international students, scholars, and their spouses. Students are placed according to their skill with English. The classes meet on Tuesday and Thursday from 9-11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, 518 N. Franklin Ave (behind 24 Hour Pump gas station, 2801 University Avenue - use entrance closest to parking lot). The cost is $50 per semester. Classes emphasize conversation with grammar and practical help on everyday living in America. Students must register in person so that the proper class placement can be made.

The church allows the classes to use its facility but there is no religious connection between the classes and the church.

Registration:

• 1st semester (fall), Tuesday, September 8, 2009, 9 - 11 a.m.
• First Baptist Church - Rear entrance
• Late Registration possible in the English Classes Office

Classes Start:

• Fall, Thursday, September 10, 2009

Parent/child class:

• For parent withinfant to 2 years is offered - $50
