  • Scholarships, Fellowships and Funding Sources

    There are very few resources for international students in the USA. Some useful information can be found on Financial Aid for International Students. The UW-Madison has a small long-term institutional loan program for which international students are eligible, the Bridge Loan Contact ISS for more details. The Dean of Students Office administers and emergency international student assistance fund. Contact the Dean of Students office for more details.

    The ISS handout Financial Advising For International Students is an excellent resource for those students experiencing financial need. ISS had developed a handout Funding Sources For International Students that lists numerous websites to assist international students search funding possibilities. In addition, the Access ISS lists scholarship opportunities.

  • International Tax Information

    • All international students must file a US tax return for themselves and their dependents every year they are resident in the USA, even if you received no income in the US.
    • The following information is designed to guide you to the forms that you will need to complete and return to the US internal revenue service (IRS).
